The maintenance-free Railway Computer RSL-R 81 comes standard with an x7-E3950 or optional x5-E3940 processor from Intel Atom (Apollo Lake-1). This allows the maintenance-free rolling stock PCs to bridge the gap between high performance and lower performance processing.
The Railway Computer RSL-R 81 is meeting the standard EN50155, class OT4. Furthermore, the railway computer offers a power failure bridge of at least 10 milliseconds according to EN50155, class S2 as well as complete EN61373 compliance with regard to shocks and vibrations, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and electrical insulation requirements. In addition, the industrial pc meets the fire protection standard for railway vehicles according to EN45545-2.
The Railway Computer RSL-R 81 has been consistently developed for rolling stock use. It has an electrically isolated power supply input. In addition, the Railway Computer including Ignition Controller can be configured via wide-range inputs for DC voltage between 16.8 and 110 volts.
The railway computers can be equipped with GPS and LTE/GSM/UMTS functions for position determination and data transmission. Connection to typical railroad BUS systems such as real-time Ethernet, TCN, WTB, ProfiNET or MVB is made via optional expansion cards that can be easily integrated.
